Our two year partnership with Actua supports the Future Skills Program, a national employment skills and competencies program for youth ages 18 - 23. The Future Skills Program prepares up to 1,000 undergraduate science, engineering, computer science and education students at 36 universities and colleges annually across Canada.
Our two year partnership with Canada Learning Code supports the Code Mobile project to deliver digital content and training across Canada to equip teens with essential digital skills of the 21st century.
RBC I&TS and MaRS’ mission is to increase the pool of talent for the tech ecosystem in Canada. With this partnership, MaRS Talent Development, a future-skill training program, will be taken on-line and made accessible nationally by 2020.
RBC I&TS supports Venture for Canada’s Fellowship program, which offers young people enhanced experiential learning opportunities and fosters the development of entrepreneurial leadership skills while preparing them for the changing world of work.
BGCA continues to be our charity partner for RBC Race for the Kids and RBC Trade for the Kids in Hong Kong. Since 2014, RBC volunteers’ donations have gone to support BGCA’s youth mentorship and special education programs.
In partnership with basis.point, RBC I&TS in Ireland is supporting the National College of Ireland (NCI) Early Learning Initiative’s (ELI) Coding Club. At Code Clubs run by staff of NCI’s School of Computing and volunteers from RBC, children aged 7 – 12 are learning to code, build and test mBots, and programme in a fun and challenging way.
RBC I&TS and Teach For Malaysia’s (TFM) mission is to advocate for education equity in Malaysia - where every child receives the opportunity of an excellent education, regardless of background. In addition, 10+ RBC employees raise money and volunteer at Teach for Malaysia Day and TFM’s Dragon’s Den project each year.
Ronald McDonald House Charities are currently continue to be our partner for RBC Race for the Kids and RBC Trade for the Kids Australia. Funds raised support seriously ill or injured children and their families by providing a “home away from home”.
Since 2010, RBC employees have raised and donated money to support GOSH. In recognition of RBC’s continuous support, an entire unit of GOSH’s new clinical building, opened in 2018, has been named the Royal Bank of Canada Neurosciences Unit.
